Truth about crank shaft run out?

    I think its funny how the crank fell apart on the desk and took a chuck outa it

    the fact of the matter is that harley knows there's an issue thats why the have an exceptable tolerance of .012" and that if you have more than .003" runout don,t even bother with gear drive cams

    I have seen a few now from .0015" to .007" and only two below .003"

    also here of a lot of guys getting the Dealers doing cam changes and not even measuring the crankrout because they maybe to scared to tell the person that owns the bike what it is

    Lucky my 120r has only .0015" runout and next time I am in the Cam chest I can check it again to see if gets worse

    0.012" is just ridiculous. anything over 0.001" or 0.002" is bullshit for motor parts.
    Yes I'm fitter machinist and work to those tollerances daily.
    I'll be very interested to see what mine is when I pull it down in a month or two for cams and 106 kit
