Bugger it.  Went to get on the bike today and looky looky a shiney thing in the rear tyre, Bloody nail,  please don't be long... Please, bastard 1". then the tell tale noise of air escaping.  Push the bugger back into the garage, slide the lift under quick before it goes flat and I can't get the lift under..  Off to GC Cycles on Main Nth Rd tomorrow for a replacement tube and fitting. all up about 60 bucks...

Doen't it just rock your sox

    Nice one Rodders.

A mate gave me a pack of those rubber inserts incase of a puncture while out riding, have used most of them on the work ute. only have one left and I'm sure when that's gone I'll score a puncture on the bike.

I bought one of those emergency kits, sitting in the shed as it is no good on a tube... Great for tubeless tires though.

Yeah, tube tyres are a pain for punctures nowadays.

You used to be able to get vulcanised patches for tubes, that was OK, not too painful getting a tyre off a rim, and the patches worked. Haven't had so much luck with the 'glue' type patches.

Fixed the tubeless tyre on my van with one of those kits, worked great, only took ten minutes or so.

Yeah they also have them puncture kits for tyre tubes as well , more like a can of air with sealant goo that is blasted directly into the tube though to block the hole from the inside , not sure how good they work , but would get ya outa trouble though i reckon , i carry one kit in the saddlebags as it has a aheap of small , i think 10psi top up air canisters in it too , not a bad kit , caters for tube and has plugs for tubeless tyre repairs also !
    Cheers

This tread just keeps going round and round. But there's not pressure to perform. Just don't blow a valve in doing it or we will have to clout you one!!!
