Hi all, quick question, as above , what's the benefit of having zinc in the oil.
I'm looking into using Penrite oils in my Sportster, i've been using HPR5Diesel in my car of ages and it's been excellent, got to use some brand so have decided to keep using Penrite. I see Penrite make a few oils specific to bikes. I am liking the specs of either the MC-4st 15w-40 (premium mineral) or the MC-4ST 10w-50 (semi synthetic).
The reason for my choice of brand is becasue it's widely available, I can pick it up nearby, is Australian and i've used other Penrite products.
Cheers in advance for advice about the zinc additive...

I use Penrite HPR 10w50 Gas in my cars and bikes. 15w50 and 20w60 diesel is good for the V-twin too.
All have high Zinc and they meet JASO standards
