Fat bob Headlight Mods?

     Cheers Max, Capital Harley want $277 on the web thing and $30+ for the ebay cables. Way too easy. Still wonder why they brought em out like though. I'll give HH a call and see what they're asking.

    Just ordered the bits, Capital Harley domestic lense, $277.40 Ebay plugs $36.89.  Just gotta waiit for the postie now. Probably could have got them cheaper but I'm lazy.

    The lense is on back order till the end of the month. Doh

    Another hat tip to you blokes, I just changed over to both headlights, piece of piss as promised. As usual, the quality of my soldering was the biggest hurdle...

    Will head out tonight to see how much of a difference it makes...

    I went with connectors on mine so if the thing gets smashed I can just unplug it and plug in the original

     Reflector arrived today. and wired it up. Bloody lovely.  Like doing easy things.

    Hey Max you said you put the H13 globes in, Did they make a diffrence?

    Mate it came that way, with H13 Sylvania 60/55 bulbs,
    I wanted to go to 65/100 but cant find any that I am convinced are correct.
    Just check what you have they may already be fitted

    Just fitted the Domestic (USA) reflectors & lamps on my FB - all work ok except the high beam indicator is now always on. Any ideas ??

    Yes - purchased the Go Series plugNplay connectors from the US - and high beam light staying onm all the time.

    no idea, mine did it with the cheap connectors, as soon as I put the correct connectors on problem solved

    Just wondering if anyone has tried the little module thing that is avaiable from www.doubletronics.com  looking at their website and the install manual for a Fatbob it seems to be an easy solution. Wonder if anyone has any experience with these?

    Seems you can keep the original light assembly and fire up the other side with this module

     Good find, Don.  It would still leave one pointing down and the other pointing higher though.  Not a problem during the day but annoying to other road users after dark.

    Hi Guys, tried chasing down the link for the harness from previous page and not having any luck.  If someone has brought H13 harnesses that work could you send the link or details of where you brought them & I will buy some. Just want to get rid of the high-beam indicator issue.  Thanks for the help in advance.

    cant remember what I had first time but they caused the high beam indicator issue. the Go Series are the ones you need but what the difference is I have no idea

    Yep just punch GO series H13 plug and play into eBay search, you will find one

    Thanks Guys for all the help.  Received the new wiring harness from the USA (very similar to previous ones) installed them just the same and bingo - ALL fixed. Don't know the difference but it works. Thanks again.

    I did not like having one light on at a time because it looked like blown globe. So before I took delivery had them fit American Headlight about $350 fitted. Have the original in the box. Looks better and more light. $50 more than rewiring.
