Cam bearing

    Anyone had an issue running the std cam bearing with a bigger set of cams on a 103

    you should be fine PB,

    its one of those things that ya change when you are in there, some say cheap insurance.

    if ya have low ks on ya ride you should be right

    PB I would change the inner bearings anyway. As Ando says it is cheap insurance. However if I am not sure what bearing HD uses on the newer 103" motors. If they use Inalla bearings then it is standard practice to swap them out for Torrington's.

    Many thanks gentleman, do intend to put them in but now require the dealer as they have the tricky puller to remove the bearing.

    This fella "madtownrydr" on HTT makes and sells a tool. Relatively cheap and easy as to use both to remove and install. Sent out to me no drama's and was fairly quick to arrive.

    Have only used it once but have lent it out a couple of times so does come in handy...

    never use old cam bearings on a new cam  always replace the bearings  even if just & inpection  & always use the torrington type brand not the ina brand ,  Screaming Eagles are Torrington  also they are stock on pre 1992 all models
