hello again all. 2008 softail standard.... ive got oil leaking from my air cleaner spraying back onto my oil tank. can anyone tell me if theyve had this issue. im thinking its from the plastic pipes/nipples that the crankcase breather hoses fit to. the small bent ones that come from the rocker cover area. im hoping its just the sesls on those plastic nipples.... thanks in advance. if no one can help ill keep perservering.. thanks in advance

This can happen a bit with the hyperchargers, especially when riding at speed into a headwind it's most obvious. Try replacing your hoses and ensure they are clamped on correctly and see if that fixes it

thanks fatbat ive double checked the hoses and clamped them already... i think its from the nipples on the air cleaner breather ring... still not sure im gonna try some thread sealer on the nipples and see how i go

I was talking to a mechanic re this as I wanted one also. Pretty sure he described it as follows.......in time the breather tube with clog up possibly due to the tight radius. It will require cleaning out every now and again to rid the buildup....or something like that!

If oil is spraying back onto the oil tank I would be checking how wet the filter is... If the filter gets to wet then it can drip down out of the filter onto the lower part of the Housing and gets sprayed back onto the tank.

Try replacing the tubes on the mounting plate... When you are riding the oil mist that comes out of the breathers gets sucked into the intake via the mounting plate. Also if your oil level it not to high I find that it tends to mist a lot more into the filter when the level is higher than recommended
