The contact points are just on six foot, so you can either drop the front of the trailer and park it forward a bit more to make sure the back stays on or get your self a seven foot long bit of C section and bolt it into the middle of it.

When i picked up my 2011 sporty i fitted in the back of my Falcon AU Ute. Your bike will fit i reckon.

The trick is to sit in diagonally over on its sidestand with the bars locked to the right in the right hand corner of the tray. I had a good 3-4 inches from the rear wheel to the corner. Had to tie the rear wheel over to stop it bouncing sideways. Had a strap hooked onto the frame to take weight off the sidestand. Had 5 other straps hooked to the frame at alot of different angles to keep it sturdy without pulling the suspension down.

I drove from Wagga Wagga to Armidale over a weekend to pick up my bike... 8.5 hours each way, stayed the night in Tamworth. What a journey. But was worth it.

Just measured the ute tray and it's 6 foot long by 5 foot wide. 7 foot from corner to corner.

The problem with trailers is that your average 6x4 isn't 6x4, most seem to vary by a couple of inches. So I'd be checking your trailer specifically. Aim for just over 7 foot diagonally, otherwise, you might want to rethink your transport options. Good luck with it.

It was fine to not pull the suspension down, no real bounce at all with my bike on the back. The straps all had rubber grommets that looped from the strap back around the hook so it would never come off.

Dirt bikes will bounce because of longer, softer suspension. I always used home made fork savers on my old dirt squirters.

A short bit of 75X6 flat bar, a bit of C section the same width as the tyre and some rhs all welded about an inch shorter than the distance between the wheel and mudguard. Pulled the front hard on that to stop weakening  the oil seals when forks are pulled down for long periods of time. Never had any problems.
