    Well it had to come.

Stage 4 kit is really pulling hard and clutch started slipping today.

Fitted the heavy duty spring that comes with the kit and has been good till now. I do give it a hard time though.

It's most noticable in 3rd gear when I hit it at 2500rpm it slips slightly till about 4200rpm then it seems to take up.

    Seems ass about though????

So where from here? Any suggestions fellas?

That's probably when it's coming right into it's power and torque.

Yep I think your right, new plates, new clutches, HD spring is only 700ks old ,and a VPC.

Screamin Eagle catalog has one advertised this year also, I think it's made by AIM for them anyway.

Question with these VPC's when you are reving out thru the gears and you are changing at 6000rpm, when you pull the clutch it must have a hugh a mount of pressure on it.

Is that right? The weights work on RPM and centrifugal force, so at high rpm you will have twice the clamping pressure to pull against as opposed to idle and low revs where you only see the spring pressure on it's own.

Right? Wrong? Or does it work different?

Anyone running a VPC can you enlighten us.

Replace the plates with the extra plate kit from Energy One or Barnett Performance. Spring should be ok if it hasn't overheated. You're right, the clamping force of the VPC will be high as the RPM increases. - Rob

The clutch on my bike is lighter with SE spring and the VPC at idle but once the revs increase to around 3500 to 4000 rpm the clutch pull gets heavy.
