I have got corrosive spots on the forks of me fatty due to salt air exsposure, have tried many products to remove, nothing has worked, this is my last ditched attempt to find a cure, other wise its a new set, anybody got an idea how to remove spots or are they fucked ?

I use Autosol Metal Polish to keep my chrome shiny, it removes most evidence of rust spots too, I've noticed, on other stuff of course!

But if the spots you talk about are actually corrosion, then by definition that's eaten some of the surface away, and you're not really going to polish that out. Best you can do is minimise the visual impact.

Have you tried Muthas Metal Polish mate?
If that doesnt work, it might be a Deep Seeded problem.

If its serious enough, get the trusty power (not battery) drill, and a couple of the josco buffing wheels and compounds. Will bring them back to nice and shiny, then seal the, with clear coat, or just continue to polish on a weekly basis.

Came back from Tassie with tiny rust spots all over me chrome , never experienced it quite like that before on near new chrome hey , salt air on the ferry possibly , but yeah nothing severe and all came off with autosol , but if it`s allready bitten and pitted the surface it probably wouldn`t hurt them much more by using some ultrafine wet n dry sand paper and a bit of oil then polish it back up with metal polish by small machine if ya have too , are ya talkin about it being within the range of travel which would see it going back and forth through the fork seals ?
Know it can be messy but probably a good idea to WD40 or equivalent them , or ya new set , heard of people coating their whole bike with the shit hey in high corrosive areas or on putting their ride into storage .
