Hey guys,

Im new to the forum, have loved reading through the threads/topics.

Im building a bike, and I'm after any tips on preparing the frame for painting. Apart from the obvious (like sanding it smooth), is there anything else I can, or should, do? I'm thinking of filing back any welds to make them smooth/uniform, but I don't want to grind off/file off the welds, obviously. 

Is there any danger in smoothing the welds with a fine file?

+ 1 to what baloffski said thats what i do ,just had my frame/swingarm forward contrlol brakets ,bars and heap of other bits done cost was about $240 all up cheap as chips
