Can anyone tell me what the issue could be:

I stopped my bike at a mates place and when I came back out it was as if the battery was dead, had to jump start it and then noticed I had no electrics ie: lights, indicators, horn or speedo!

The bike is a 99 Fat Boy evo motor.

Any Ideas or can you point me in some direction, thinking stator or voltage reg?

Sounds like a stator or regulator issue. You end up having enough grunt in the battery to start and run the bike for a long while, but once you stop, there's not enought to restart the beast.

Run through the tests to see if the battery is being charged..that will tell you.
