Saw a bike when we rode to the Shepparton bike show that had what I thought was red (white) walls, turns out they actually clip onto your rim. Bike looked fantastic. Anyone know what they are called or who distrbutes them?

Never heard of them man , but imagin that , clip-on rim protectors , what will they think of next hey ?
Protect `em from what exactly , road wear or pitting or something ?
One of the reasons i bought my bikes was because the look of their shmick chrome spoked rims hey !
Did they look bulky or like something that could become unclipped and throw ya down the road ?
What are they made of ?

Yeah Asher thats them thanx for the link mate.

Scotti, I didnt believe the owner of the bike when he said they just clip on, they look just like a whitewall, and a damn good one at that these were in red and they had WOW factor.

Will67, I reckon they are more decoration than actual rim protection. I wouldnt like to be hitting a gutter hard enough to have one of these save my rim edge!

Seems like a good idea. Used to be able to get these things for cars, many years ago, often wondered if they made them for bikes....now I know!!

Has anyone used them & what do you think? Any effect on wheel balance etc & ,more importantly, do they follow the contour of the tyre (ie no bumps or rises on the sidewall).

    Thanks for your comments.

The ones I saw looked like they were painted on. Didnt have a feel of em but looked very smooth and followed the edge of the tire perfectly.
