Hi all...Ppete,Is it possible to pack the middle of the ramp ? If so you dont need the ramp to be as strong as the weight of the bike.

The actual height that I need the ramp for is 22cm ...so at the moment I'm looking at all options ...ie chequer plate , wooden ramp, etc . I may be able to just put a chock of wood under the middle of a cheaper bike ramp ....need to go look at em

I use a ramp I got from repco (black, steel thing) which is 363kg rated so no good. What's your bike btw? A streetbob is 300kgs, a tourer is around 400?  Ultra 410?

the full load of the bike may not be on the ramp so you may not need a real heavy one.

Piece of wood does the trick for me.

Superglide custom ...Bonkerz ...was also taking into account rider weight plus some extra kilos. Will probably go with a standard type one with a chock of wood under the middle for piece of mind

Yeah cheap way out is to bolt a pair of the black repco (CRA ?) suckers together side by side !

Whys that Seedzter ...seemed like the easiest option to me?...the incline is only 22cm meaning I can still touch the ground

I was actually thinking you were loading into a ute !!  I've seen to many Fark up loading a bike like that.
I usually just walk the bike up using the motor/clutch.
But into a shed maybe not such  big deal, but it does mean you can use a lighter ramp !

Go to the local engineering firm and get them to weld some angle on the back of he cheap ramp, or even fab you one from scratch. It's not a hard job and if your not carting it around all he time, they can make it strong as you like.
