Suspension advice needed

     Hi all,

I'm about to swap out my stock shocks on the 09 Street Bob and would like to get a definitive answer on weather going from 12" to 12.6" will provide a noticeable improvement in lean angle.

I do enjoy my corners and I'm not too concerned about having that "low down" look....just getting sick of scraping out my pipe before my peg.

Can anyone with first hand experience tell me if this is a worth while mod?

    thanks in advance,

    Dan.

If your really serious about handling, go to a good quality 13.5" shock.
But even with a decent 12.6" shock, you will be better off.

Thanks for the advice blokes. I'll definitely be getting the best shocks my budget allows and going longer did seem to make sense. Just wanted to be sure there were no hidden drawbacks.

    cheers

Just went from stock 12" to a set of 12.5" Progressive 970's on my Fat Bob last week.

Bike is obviously sitting slightly higher on the side stand but I don't notice any difference in height when sitting on it. Still scrape the pegs but the ride is 100% better except now I can feel how bad the front is.

Yeah, I'm afraid of that too.....might be upgrading the front soon after :)
