Hey I'm Mark. I just grabbed my first Harley. It's an 07 883 Sporty. I was after a 1200 but this came along at the right price. I might convert it to 1200 later but for now i've got a big grin on my face and am having a ball getting back into riding. It's been a few years between rides.

Figured i'd post up a quick pic. Bike just has some slip ons, power commander, drag bars and speedo relocation. Pipes are stupid loud and i'm looking to quiet it down a bit as i work nights and get home late. No need to annoy the neighbours too much. Any suggestions for pipes / slip ons that look good and perform well but aren't stupid loud. I have the stock muffles but there is no way that they're going back on. Thanks in advance.

Welcome Mark, when I had my 1200 I used 3" Vance and Hines slip ons, maintained a good note and not obnoxiously (stupid) loud, never had any bad vibes from the neighbours and the car drivers still knew I was there. Got 'em sent over from the states by M&M Cycles ( recomended by quite a few on this site) with a few other parts for hell cheaper than local, took about 6 days. Hope this helps. Welcome. We always wonder what kept us away for so long. Enjoy the sporty. Screaming eagle slip ons ..series II...sound OK without the bike being put off the road. (Don't know about the latest slip ons though).

Hey BattleOn, where abouts in Sydney do you ride? Are there many rides organised on here? I checked out the NSW section and it seems i just missed one on the weekend that wasn't too far from my place.
