I just purchased a HD sundowner seat for my forty-eight so i can take the wife 2-up, For me i'm not a big fan of it, It's comfy but doesn't suit my height and support my back enough, compared to the std forty-eight seat i am sitting quite higher and i don't have as much back support as i would like.

So here is my question, Who here has the Le-Pera Cherokee seat fitted to there sportsters or forty-eights ?

I sat on one in a store (not fitted to a bike) that was meant for a Dyna and i loved the back support and how low the rider sat in it, i would like to sit on one on a bike, Is there any body in SeQld that has one of these seats fitted to their bikes and using forward controls ? I would like to get the oppuntiy to sit on a bike with this seat to try out the fit for me.

also i have a question in regards to seat coverings, They offer this seat in standard covering, Diamond stiching and pleated covering, My question is do these coverings servce any other purpose than styling  ? Do they make the seat any softer ? I am fond of the diamond stich look for my forty-eight

Any kind of experences from owners would be great as i've already wasted money on a seat once and i don't want to do it a second time.

    G'day BLackout

I have a Cherokee - although on my softail - and swear by it. Well made, good looking and very comfy.

TO The best of my knowledge, the stitching on the seat is purely asthetics (although not having tried them all I cant verify this).

    Cheers

Can anybody suggest a Le-pera dealer in australia that is good on pricing ?

I got a quote from one retailer in Queensland on the Cherokee seat and it was a bit over $600. Considering there $365 on the U.S. site it seemed a bit rich.

I also like the look of the Maverick it looks comfortable but i am unsure which one would be best for rider and passenger to do quite a few kms on a forty-eight
