If its tuned (pipes, filter, ecu), then 98 (otherwise it'll run too lean and hot). If stock, then 91 is fine...

BP Ultimate 98, would be better  for your motor as thats EFI they might not be high comp but they are air cooled EFI run . that 98 keeps the injectors clean

95 for me, 98 does ok but no real differencethat i can feel. 91 seems to lose a bit of power.
Mine runs like crap on shell ultima..........avoid it like the plague.
Used 95 ron ethanol blend by mistake the other day (ultra servos), didnt go too bad but was all highway use. Wouldnt make a habit of it though!

If its tuned, just run 98. I always fill-up with 98.

Ok... Here are the facts... make of them what you will.

BP Ultimate is a highly refined petrol with an exceptionally high octane. It has been designed to be used in the following vehicles:

    • modern high performance cars and bikes designed to use unleaded fuels of 98 octane.

    • It can also be used in cars and bikes designed for Premium Unleaded Petrol (96 octane) but performance benefits may not be so apparent unless the vehicle is fitted with a knock sensor that can adjust the engine to take advantage of the higher octane.

    • Pre 1986 cars and bikes and Classic cars and bikes - with an additive to protect against valve seat recession it can also be used in pre 1986 cars that require higher octane fuel. In terms of octane it is equivalent to the British 4 star grade and so is suitable for many classic British sports cars of the 1960s and 1970s

    Performance and Economy

Many imported and higher performance cars, particularly those with turbo chargers, are designed to get best performance from a 98 octane fuel. These vehicles can use lower octane fuels however the necessary ignition timing adjustments required or the action of the knock sensor can result in decreased performance, increased fuel consumption and increased exhaust emissions.

BP Ultimate allows engine management systems to optimise the ignition timing to give full ignition advance for maximum power. Vehicles will then achieve the performance, economy and emissions that the cars were originally designed for, provided they continue to use the 98 octane fuel.

    Cleanliness

BP Ultimate contains a deposit control additive to keep inlet valves, fuel injectors and other fuel system components clean. The additive is one that is approved by the USA Environment Protection Authority for controlling deposit build up in engines and so maintaining peak engine performance and assisting to minimise unacceptable exhaust emissions.

    Pre 1986 cars and bikes

Pre 1986 cars and bikes will obtain an appreciable benefit from using BP Ultimate provided they also use a suitable additive to protect valve seats from wear
