is a never ending project mate, I have made that many changes in the three years I have owned my Iron it is ridiculous..............but that being said, I love it!!!

Do some research, find something that appeals and make it your own!! If you want tyres, speak to Walka and get a set of old school vintage shinko's. 500-16 on the rear and a 400-19 on the front and that will look fucking awesome, runs with the bobber theme you're trying to achieve. Keep the drags, they're a comfortable ride!!

If you're not going to change the tyre, dont go wide it looks too much on a skinnier bike!

But all in all, do what ever you like and Sportsters are great for it; they're the harley equivilant to lego for big kids!! haha

     Congrats on the bike mate,

    looks great.

maybe try a speedo / headlight relocation bracket from Roland Sands Design to clean up th bars.

i have drag bars and they re a great feel.

look at forward foot controls which work well with the drag bars......

maybe a slim line pop up style gas cap and smoke lenses for the front and rear indicators.

i have had my iron for 2 years now and up to 31 modifications......I absolutely love it and would struggle to want any other bike....

    enjoy the experience,

get a 1200 kit for the price not a bad way to go the bike looks good i find that the power is the thing with the sportys for not much work thay can be realy fast ive got a 1200 and eats all my mates bigger bikes down low but 130km thay real me in on a good day u can get the front wheel in the air i would think it would be worse with 883

Nice bike mate! but what i like to do is google your bike or model etc. Check out the pictures and that will give you heaps of ideas, and from those ideas try and think how can i make this idea unique to my bike.

Keep the form posted with what you come up with!!

Little Pig I would ride the bike first, see if you're happy with the power & go from there. You may want to look at performance mods first, eg 1200/1250 & put some xr calipers & braided cables up front, then she'll be a real "R". As it is the bike looks pretty good, maybe a pipe upgrade though, if you don't like 2-1's then maybe consider some V&H side shots, from what I've read they're one of the better performing 2-2 pipes. Unless you're doing a repaint I'd say the bobber theme wouldn't suit. The 883R is more of a performance oriented sporty (if there is such a thing, "marketed" would be a better term for it) so I'd build on that theme, but that's just me...

Do a decent ride or 2 see how comfortable it is.You might decide to change shockers, seat, lower it, forward controls, bars ect to make it comfortable. Set it up to suit yourself then worry about cosmetics

first thing i would do is take that Cock off the back guard, and put on some nightster/iron tail lights with fatbob stand offs (fatbob are shorter than the softail ones)
