    Cheers cartoon/killer,
She's getting ridden pretty hard at the moment!....The work run I do is just under 100k's round trip per day, going to have to look after her pretty well if i wanna stay on two wheels, so the few extra $$ will be well spent.

Thinking about it, I'll need to get it in for the 1st service earlier than I've booked, by then she will be well over recommended schedule of 16,000!

Well I cant offer feedback from a "servicing" point, but on a service note then:  I recentley 26/12/12 rode from Melb to Perth and ended up with warped front discs, I went to Perth Harley in Cannington who's workshop was fully booked out, but they were extremely helpful and checked on disc availability ordered them and squeezed me into the workshop, keeping me informed via phone calls over the next 8 days on what was happening. I did go over to the Fraser harley shop in Osborne I think it was, on just a look see, and hardly even got a question from anyone on the floor the whole time I was there ...... thats my two bobs worth.......and I am back home in melb now 8200klm round trip.

     Yeh I hear you canetoad,

sounds similar to my experience as mentioned in one of the posts above mate, not so much as a hello or kiss my ass when I was looking to buy.

Perth HD were the opposite, two people helped me out when i was just mooching around, and I left with some nice glossy brouchers' to drool over, and some good info on pricing, specs etc to help in my decision.

I also rang them today to try and get the bike in a bit earlier for the service as I'm doing a lot of K's at the moment...managed to get a weekly slot a bit earlier which was handy. I mentioned could they call if they had any cancellations and get me in even quicker... Apparently he had 3 people in front of me who had asked the same thing... So they must be doing something right!..... I'll find out myself in a few weeks

PS. Bet you where walking like john Wayne after that round trip to Perth from Melb's?, it must have been a test of endurance!

Hi guys, just wanted to share a mate and mines experience yesterday at Frasers.

Had both bikes booked in for 9:00 rang the night before to confirm as we were going to be waiting. Told it would be 3 hrs and be ready around 12 or 1. Got there next morning and got told won't be ready until 4:30 or 5. Challenged them on it as I had rung the day previous and confirmed. Said nothing they can do about it. So we both said we can and cancelled our bookings and told them won't be coming back.

Very poor customer service. Rode around to Perth Harley and what a difference in staff and atmosphere.

bought my bike from Frasers. Will never return if that's how they treat people.

Had dealings with Frasers, workshop staff are to be avoided unless u enjoy being slipped into, as for the mob in cannington where u can watch the mechanics at work or should I say " not at work" but charging good money for it, going to ThunderTech is a no brainer mate, u won't be disappointed????

Get a manual and do it yourself :-)

Save yourself heaps doing it yourself, I have done all my servicing from day one. Wasnt worried about the warranty, they shouldnt break down if its a new bike, and if its the factories fault they will fix it

A few months back I had the misfortune of having to use Fraisers due to my insurance company insisting on me using a HD dealer for some damage to my bike.

Anyway the whole performance almost made me give up with Harley's (in case it ever happens again), to start I rang to arrange a quote "just call in" I was told so I did. That's where the fun started as they wanted the bike left with them for the day, the damage was as clear as the nose on my face and as I had no other transport I waited for them to tell me what I already knew but at least they only took 3 hours!

Next, the 2 month wait was doubled but no worries, this time when they called me to arrange the fitting of the parts I explained that as I work shifts I could bring the bike in for 8am but needed it back by 1pm. No worries they said, so I dropped it off and had a tosser tell me no way could they do the work in 5 hours. It was a tank and a set of pipes ffs so I offered to do it myself but of course that wouldn't do.

Then they couldn't fit the exhaust due to a fuck up by the manufacturer (so no blame on Fraisers for that) when I finally got out of there at 3pm with my new tank fitted I had to call back on the Saturday to collect the exhaust and sort it out myself (my choice) it was boxed up so I had no reason to open the box however upon returning home I discovered the pipe was damaged in 2 places as they had tried to fit it but as they couldn't boxed it back up. Whoever did this must have known what they had done but kept their mouth shut so another 80klm round trip to show them what they had done.

They had to order one part of the pipe but I have now given up on and had it ceramic coated instead of chromed as they are telling me the pipe is no longer manufactured which is bullshit. I just can't be arsed speaking to any of them again life's too short.

I wasn't going to bore anyone with about my experience as I know shit happens but felt I had to warn anyone thinking of using Fraisers as on Friday I filled up on my way home which I rarely do so when I got home I had a full tank. Saturday morning I stepped into the garage to the smell of petrol. Upon inspection I found that they hadn't tightened down the top plate for the fuel pump so with a full tank petrol was running out. It didn't take long to fix but how do these people get jobs when they are so useless????
