Hi there, wondering if anyone can offer good or bad feedback on either Perth HD or Frasers for servicing their pride an joy?

Got my 1st coming up in a couple of weeks, and want to give my business to the most favoured, as I'd like to keep using the same people in future.

Also any cons at getting the oil switched out to synthetic on 1st service, from what I've read it doesn't make a great deal of difference... Cheers :)

Thunder Tech are great to deal with and I would never hesitate in recommending Deano and Hardy to anyone but would this effect you warranty? as although they (IMO) are 100X better than either of the HD dealers in Perth they are indies.

If you were out of warranty then I would have recommended someone who is as good as anyone I have ever met on the spanners but your warranty is important.

Good luck with whoever you choose.

Harley may not like it But they can't legaly stop warranty by going an INDY who is registered same as with cars.

Well that's what i been told by MTA

Thanks Gents, Thundertech are top of my list, but for the 1st service I'm thinking Perth HD.

When I was looking to buy I went to both the 'Big' ones in Perth a few months ago, and there was a much nicer vibe at the Perth HD, friendly staff, they offered lots of help, and info and specs on the bikes etc.. Like they wanted my business... The other one, I didn't even get a hello when I was lookin around!... Maybe my fault, who knows!

Main reason being though, is that I got a bit of a score on the bike, bought it of a FIFO dude who has only had it 12 months, and only done 700 Klicks :) I want to get all the paperwork and roadside assist switched to my name while it still lasts...and somewhere like Perth HD should be able to sort all that out without to much hassle... Although I know there not gonna be cheap!!

After the twelve months is up, or even before if I need any work done.. Thundertech will def be getting booked in tho...like I said, I want to use people that are recommended, and keep using them in future

Who did you buy the bike from? They will want to ensure their product is serving you well. Perth HD, Sam and the boys are great lads (I haven't had any interaction with Frasers so I can't comment), I have appreciated PHD's assistance and advice a number of times. Thundertech are second to none for Dyno tuning as you have probably gathered from all the above posts. I do my own work but if I bought a new model bike I would take it to the dealer I purchased it from for the first service and let them know of any concerns, they sold it to ya, they want to make sure it's right.

I agree Glassy, yet to find out for sure but they seem like a nice bunch down at Perth HD. Booked up earlier for the 1st service in a few weeks.

I got the bike 2nd hand, only 700 on the clock, from a guy who had bought it from the dealers down south. Bit to far to ride just for a service.

Another question... Synthetic or mineral oil? :)

Flip a coin for the oil! I like Synth, but that's because my engine runs bloody hard and hot so it holds up better in the long run.

Gezer have you got a fuel tuner at all or just running stock map?

Iron Gezer, would suggest you avoid Frasers in Perth. Really unimpressed with their capability and service/follow-up. I bought from them but will service with the other stealer based on workshop experience so far.

Got a SE 'pro' tuner slap, still a bit of black magic to me all this mapping business but I get the idea, bike seems to run good.. No popping on decel or anything like that :)

Thanks for the feedback Marvin, yeh mate my impression of them wasn't great, seems like most here recommend Thundertech to go too.. I want to give Perth HD a go as they were helpful when I was looking to buy, and helpful on the phone regarding what they actually do on the service etc.
Good customer service goes along way in my book!
