Afternoon all,
Ok so I've just got my 2009 Night Rod and I'm looking to put a Vance and Hines comp series 2into1 on it, being doing lots of research and decided that V&H is for me, but now I'm stuck at which one is the correct for my model/year bike?!?
There is the VH Product ID : 75-113-9 which states it fits: 2002-2013 V-ROD and looks like the newest version of the exhaust, and then there is the VH Product ID : 75-106-9 which is stated to fits: 2002-2011 VRSC, but in the product description it makes special mention of "A replica of the Destroyer Competition Series Exhaust, this new system is designed specifically for all V-Rod Models including 2009 models and the Night Rod Special".....
So my question, is the 75-106-9 product the one I should be aiming for, or does the 75-113-9 fit my bike as well? What model does everyone else have fitted to theirs?
The 75-113-9 is available in matte black as well, which will suit my denim black very nicely, but I need to ensure it will fit first
Thanks!
Thanks for the info hquick, some more to think about now :p Do you happen to have some pics and perhaps a vid of the sound from the Danmoto on your bike? Off to google them now...
EDIT: quick google search and found the dan-moto site, but it doesn't look like they sell VRSC model exhausts anymore " src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif" />
Double EDIT:.... reading through the thread on 1130.com forums at the moment. So did you have to specifically get in contact to get a vrod system?
G'day lemming
Currently have 3x VRSC (2 are for sale )
Here's a pic of the 2011 with V&H Comp 2-1
if you want to hear what it sounds like I did a review of another product on my blog but it includes a (pretty crappy low res) video from my phone going up through a set of twisties on this bike - but if you turn the sound up and you've got decent speakers you might just be able to hear what they sound liek at (almost) full noise and in deceleration, up change etc.
(I still get a boner listening to it ... but that's probably Too much info right... hahha)
