G'day Sportsterbill, mate ya could try a sharp blade, being careful not to damage the coating on the pipes.

Oh & BTW as Bonk said, wrong page for this thread, but don't sweat it, welcome to the forum,  hope you get the pipes clean.

From ya sig can I take it ya have a spotster, Bill?

Hi all I ride a 07 Sporty 1200 custom and I love it.  Have only had it for a yr. Am from Altona in Melbourne and can't wait to ride this weekend. Weather is finally looking up. Thanks to all for the advice.  I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust with a pair of slip-ons to geyt the right note. Harley Heaven recommended S&S butdon't want toooo loud but want that deep rumble. Any advice??

    Melted crap on exhaust..... bugger.
Get pipes hot when ya go for your next ride, keep an icy pole stick in ya pocket.... great non abrasive melted crap on exhaust, scraper.
