When are we going to get together for the first meet and greet for 2013?

Being a newbie here I've being waiting for something from others but as yet....nothing.

Doesnt even have to be a big ride, just to put names to faces and bikes for the first.

Could even be an annual thing.

    Ideas?

Hey Nomada, a few of us are always keen for a ride and pub stops along the way. I like the idea of a meet and greet, plus I've ridden with Tim S.G, GT1200, and a couple others on a few occasions, all great blokes. We always have a great time, and it's always the more the merrier. Not everyone can always make it due to other commitments, but we do our best to meet up for a ride.

A meet and greet is a good idea, possibly for a Sunday pub lunch somewhere fairly central to everyone. Families would be most welcome too.

Keep us posted in the SA rides section, if you have any ideas of times or places for an event. I look forward to meeting up someday.

was thinking the same Nomada. there have been a few new Adelaide members join up recently and what better way to welcome them.

hopefully we could get a few others out for a run? The heat might put some off, but not me. maybe an evening ride or a cruise along the coast?

    Anyone else keen?

If you are looking for something a bit different, check out Tux's "Wedding Escort" ride.

Help out, then continue somewhere after. or meet up in city about 3 or 4 then head off.

Could do a meet and greet at Glenelg say 11am, intro all, then do the wedding escort at 12 and see what happens from there.

GT, if it goes ahead, I could meet you at the Shell opposite Munno Para shops on Main North Rd on the way through.

Great idea about an evening cruise, certainly something different.

I like the idea of the coastal cruise as sometimes I will cruise from my place to Outer Harbour via Military or Victoria rd, past the ASC on Veitch Rd, and back around past the cruise ship terminal then along the beach all the way back past Largs, Semaphore, then if i feel like going further, will keep following the beach as far as Glenelg via Grange Beach etc.

If people want, we could ride to maybe even as far as Seaford or Moana.

    I'm open for any suggestions.

im keen, i've only snuck in a quick blast on my bike so far this year to make sure it still starts!

i cant do the wedding escort, a red kwaka might stand out, lol. im in western burbs, so an evening coast ride or a weekend ride into the country suits me!!

i know my ride is a long way from a Harley, but the blokes on this forum have been great to tag along with last year!!

    see you soon

    cheers

No joy from Santa this year... I think he was either too busy with the new baby or just sleep deprived!

I notice it's 29 deg and sunny this sat! I'd be keen for a ride around late morning, head out to the country side, pub lunch, home by mid afternoon..Anyone else keen?

    Cheers

    James.
PS. PM recieved, will write back now!

How about up the freeway, pick up some of us troglodytes in Straffalbyn, then down to Clayton Bay and Annie's Sails Cafe for coffee and low calorie fush and chups?

All are welcome at the wedding on Sunday, even red kwakas!

I figure we can meet at the Watermark (old Lenny's Tavern) around 11 to 11.30 and do the wedding after for those who are interested.

It will be a nice cruise along the beach to est Lakes.

How about we do the wedding escort this weekend and the Sat cruise the weekend following.

Be good if we could get two rides a month and mix it up with day/evenings and weekends/week days.

Sounds like some good options guys! I'm available Sat or Sunday, so whatever the group decides, I'll tag along! Thanks for opening the wedding escort to all bikes!

    keep the ideas coming....

Maybe, Gepps Cross - Hahndorf to meet Spook and any others, out to Murray Bridge or Mannum. stop at Tunkillo for a beer, then the south guys can loop back through Hahndorf while the north guys could continue through Williamstown for the usual last drink at Sandy Creek?

Possibly, up the freeway - Strathalbyn - Clayton / Goolwa then back along the coast?

where you at, Still Looking and Jockey?

If you are new here, come out for a run. always a good day out.

If you have been here for a while, come and make them welcome. (then I won't be the newbie)
