Hi all, new member to this forum and would like to get some feed back from people's experiences with the D&D Bobcat 2 into 1 exhaust.
I currently have a 2010 nightster but am looking to upgrade to a Wide Glide in the near future and want to install these pipes as part of the first mods. If anyone has any good or bad info it would be greatly appreciated. Speaking with the dealer they pretty much tried to talk me into the Vance & Hines instead, not sure why, can only assume because they can't supply D&D and won't get anything out of it. Claimed the D&D's warranty is not good. Is there any problem with fuel mapping these pipes? Would need the dealer to map for me as i'm not that technical.
Apologies if I'm repeating a previous topic. Great forum with loads of great info, am spending way too much time getting through it.
Riggers.
Can't help you in regards to the D&D, if Filthy Phil is still around I think he had some on his Fatbob which would be a good comparison. Personally if your not crash hot with the tools I would take the bike to an independant dyno guy to get it mapped once you have chosen your new pipes, air cleaner and tuner.
One thing to keep in mind with V&H pipes (if you go with them) is that not many people have them so you will stand out in a crowd of other bikes, they're as rare as rockin' horse shit
I hear ya Deadwood, exactly why I don't want to put Vance & Hines on, (nothing against them) just want something that looks a bit different.
Thanks Carbonfibre, good to get feedback from someone who has a set, sounds like your happy with them.
Hey Bob, yep I agree with you that they look the goods, will definitely chase down a set. Don't want to put Vance & Hines on, would like something a bit different. Not sure if the dealer will map it for me so may need to find someone in WA to install new map.
Cheers Bob, still a bit off getting the new bike, feed back has been awesome from all. Will let you know when the order goes in, i'm sure the dealer is sick of me kickin the tryes every week.
Going for a test ride on Thursday and then work out the price. Then however long it takes to get in.
Keen to see photos when you pick it up. What mods you got planned first up?
Bob, at the moment am dealing with Frasers, but wasn't impressed with their offer of a trade in price on my nightster. Will probably sell it privately and check out the Cannington dealer as well to see what they offer. I have a contact in Melbourne Frasers who looked after me when i bought the Nightster so will get price through them.
Looking at just a few mods at first, the usual, pipes, air intake and tuner and probably a combo tacho/speedo. will definitely look at replacing the bars later, the standard ones sat a little low for my liking but don't think I can strecth the budget that far yet.
i have just bought a 2012/13 fatbob like the pipe do you know what part number is
thanks

Not sure of the part number for that model. Check out the D&D website you should find it on there.
