They are all girls bikes, if the girl can throw her leg over and ride it. Not the sharpest question you could ask as an intro on a HD forum... I have an old Sportster and a late model Heritage Softail, am I a different gender depending on which bike I am riding, I don't fucking think so.....

Sportsters cop shit as being a girls bike, though anyone with half a brain knows its a crock of shit. There are still insecure dickheads out there that want to make themselves feel better about spending a fortune on their wheels (instead of just enjoying them) that they need someone to shit on. The girls bike tag is meant to be a joke, but guys with tiny balls just don't get it.
As far as softails vs Dynas go, neither are considered girls bikes (anymore than the other anyway) but girls ride em just the same.

On the "make fun of a bike" market, Rockers are just above Sportster in copping shit btw. I try not to rag on anyone's bike, but it sounds like your "friend" (you need a better class of mate) isn't happy with his choice of bike.

I have an 2011 Superglide custom and I beat ZJM , who has an XR1200, up Macquarie pass ...so no I wouldn't consider it a girls bike...oh and hes in complete denial about it as well...LOL
