Good to see another Hammer build happening. Those Axtell cast iron jugs are supposed to be the strongest ones out there. Nice head work too. As 5ltr said, will be interesting to see how these builds compare once done & dyno'd.

T1 I bet you're frothing at the mouth even more now...

    MORE PICS!!!

    Slap.

do they  use a cooper or a MLS  head gasket not too much meat in between in chamber & the stud pattern just enough,     nice set

dr has a good point there about not much meat between stud holes & the chamber.

also would be good to see the two 90 "er's down at the track taking on the little 74 "er SE  no wheelie bar no air shift stock wheel base also just compare quarter mile trap speed & half track speeds as you can work out HP that way & have fun at same time. Dyno's good for tuning the track is the real thing.

Yeh Krash Mark didn't have any 1200 heads for sale at the time and was easier to just get from states he will still go over them no doubt. Heads are now packed to take to Mark so will only get pic if he want's to remove valves.

thats good you have him doing the job, not important about pic's of ports but thats to only way you can realy look at them with valves out. those rods are the best too.

I have dropped it all off to mark so he can make a start. I am still waiting for gasket set which is now coming with a Hammer Matched manifold and Mikuni 48mm carby

that sounds good, what manifold is he sending?

Also think it would be a good idea, if your planing to keep bike long term, to get a spare set of oversize pistons & few set of rings & few sets of head gaskets. as i know from past experience. you sometimes need these things, then you find they are hard to get. so better to have a few spares just to put away.

I've been lurking on the hammer site and did an estimation for a similar kit like this one, it came out to around 4k + shipping and duty. this will be worth while depending on the power gains and i am keen to see it finished.
