foot clutch ,,.rocker style,? or to suit forwards.. a gear change lever attatched to the ratchid lid or you have to make up some bracketry if you have a rotary box? their a bitch in traffic, but like anything you'll get use to it...

Currently have a clutch handle and forward controls

I'm guessing that i need to buy a kit off ebay so that i can attach a jockey lever onto transmission and replace the gear change foot-lever to a clutch-lever

Until now i hadn't thought about making my own bracketry

    Cheers,

I have run a jockey shift with rocker clutch on my 1985 FXEF 4spd Evo for 10 years now.

The rocker clutch on mine stays loose so effectively it is a suicide clutch.

It looks WAY harder than it really is. You do need to try to get into neutral for every stop but eventually it becomes second nature. I have never had any issues, ridden in big city traffic, freeways, suburbia, Scottish Highlands, the lot. No dramas.

I would never make the conversion if I lived in San Francisco or Rome though. Hills are a nightmare and the scenario to avoid is the uphill stop sign or give way followed by a left turn. Bit of a nightmare.

If you need pix I have some. Got Fabricator Kevin jockey arm, old Pan rocker clutch, custom rod linkage.

On a 76 it will be much easier to sort even with electric start primaries but you will need the 68-78 FLH police style clutch release arm for ease of setting up the rod linkage. Rod is the only way to go.

    Do it! ;-)
