     Hi guys happy new year

I think I have a problem. After a Tman stage four build I am getting some oil in the throttle body.

It has a 55mm Hpi throttle body and also has external breathers fitted so oil cannot be introduced into the intake as standard.  Does not seem to be blowing any smoke from the pipe but the plugs are slightly black but no wet oil on theme. Got me stumped.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

     Thanks Hilly.

Thinking along them lines myself as the tops of the pistons are pretty clean no carbon deposits, I am running a map that Serco loaded when I bought the power vision, It was for a 106 build with cams and heads + throttle body,I am currently I the process of auto tuning their map at the moment it Is starting to pull fuel from the tables already running better already but I have a bit more to go.

Maybe the oily residue was in there before I started the auto tune process.

Will let you know how. It turns out.

too rich mixture can wash oil off the moving parts & make for worn parts inc bore , esp when running in , & everything is a bit tight

modern 2 stroke oil is not as gummy as it use too be  & burn's alot cleaner but you would have too read the plug's  ,not too good for short distance work , 25klm's or more ,   i use a top end lube ( NULON brand ) in my older ride's  & in my HQ
