I had a few hours to kill in the garage 2day so I cut the tail light standoffs on my forty eight.

It's a mod I wanted to do from the day I got the bike, just haven't had the time.

I wanted to take about 25mm off the stock unit.

This is it marked waiting for the grinder.

    one side fitted

    job all done

    cheers.

Looks good Fry. Didn't think about cutting them, but was planning to change to Dyna / Softail parts. What was the cost of parts Terror?

i had enough at home to make them fit (bolts and nuts) you might want to order the studs/bolts that run thru them for easy/stress free fitting. Otherwise yes a direct fit no cutting needed.

Any chance of a picture? My mate's wide glide's are about an inch long, (Bastard won't swap) not sure if there are different sizes or not.

Someone said the standard ones looked like plane wings, and I've hated them ever since. Cheers GT.
