no steel liner , coated aluminium barrels ?
Lookin good, great to see someone else goin to a 90'cube as well, keep the pic's coming and good luck with the build.
I like the photo with the piston comparison. Good luck with the build.
All sounds Great, will be good to see how it goesw once you start riding. there are only about two cam manufacturers that do the Four Cam's most all get Andrews to make to there custom design. i think TR got some new sportster cams that Andrews make to his design. Romine make four cams too but mostly just for Nitro Top Bikes & red shift,
what are you after Low end Grunt or top end rev's?
just saw its late cases no trap door, will you also do the gear box while it's all appart?
5 , i road up the bush yesturday with a mate to have a look at head's a mate is develoving for his 09 xb Buell, he has flow bench he build himself egine dyno he built & he knows what he is doing, does everything himself. he has been testing brand new bathtub sportster heads he got when he was in the states. he flowed them stock then cut valve seats for 1.9 intake flowed them, then made up valve seats to put in 2 inch intake valves. he kept port small and the design of valve seats gives it good flow numbers at very low lift & got them flowing enough air with manifold on & throtle body on ( he modified stock throtle body ) to make 130HP. but had to leave exhast valve stock size. now he will start on combussion chamber. when he finishes he will design his own pistons have JE make them to his design.
will be interesting to see how it turns out. he will ride it a lot & will bring it to Sydney to the track on wednesday night . will be one off .
think he might use some barrels like you or might be the 1250 barrels & stock XB cams with Crane 1.75 ratio rockers. just have to wait see, with things like that takes a lot of time i don't like waiting.
hope you get it landed soon would be good to see pic's, what heads did they start with? & what valve sizes are they useing?
Good luck getting 883 heads to go with your 90' kit....don't think you will get enough out of em for it!
10 weeks! hope you jumped on another bike during that time....i would go nuts waiting that long.
That's great! bet you feel good now your got your Bike going again & new big inch motor, any valve train noise with those cams? & what is your cranking pressure?
Enjoy it.
no worries, can you remember if cranking pressure was 200 pound or was it lower?
That's good no worries was asking as mine is on high side, do youknow. What comp ratio the built it @?
& how's it feel now with more k's on it? Think it takes 500k to 1,000k and they start to feel even better
sounds good, they also improve with a few miles up from valves closing gets valves to seat & seal improves.
