My bike fell over today. My fault. Thought stand was fully extended. Stand sliiped on sandy soil and folded up.

Now need new derby cover, clutch lever and housing, mirror, rear blinker etc.

Fuck, great way to end the year.

Bad luck there Superglide, What you want are the longer pegs, have them on mine, was doing a slow turn on a slight incline and loss balance, the pegs prevented the rest of the bike from touching the ground.
    Total life saver.
    Worth investing in.

With that much damage it sounds like you'd be better off claiming from your insurance company.

Been there done that. But my blinker ding'd the tank! Only a small one, but still a ding.
I brased my rear blinker and recut a thread on it. Cant tell. Where are you and what bits (and colours) do you need?

Sorry to hear that SG. But like all mistakes you learn from them. After i did that on my fatboy 4 years ago while still siting on it, i wrestled it back up before it went right over and dislocated the ring finger on my right hand. I always double check now as Tigger wont be happy if he went over. I still can't get used to how the bike can can move a few inches forward when the stand is fully down.

Some low cunt pushed my brand new 2012 streetglide over some time ago, cost the insurance $3200.

Feel sorry for you, know that sick feeling

I think that at the end of each year, we should have the "Bugga" Awards.

Hi taff60 I'm near Newcastle. I got most of the parts yesterday. I'm waiting for the clutch lever and housing to come in.. I didn't get a replacement Turn indicator as they are nearly $190 for a set of four and I only need one of them so I'll just put up with the scratch on it till another day. I wish they sold them in single units like they do with mirrors. Noting was cheap but it wasn't as expensive as I thought it may turn out.
I hope this never happens again.. Forking embarrassing plus I'm still aching from trying to stop the bike falling. My back hips and legs must have been working overtime to stop it. Oh we'll you learn by your mistakes.

Been looking at ebay blinkers but seeing I have a sissy bar on the back nothing seems to suit. The blinker only has a couple of scratches and I can live with that.

Nice save tequila , there was a fella on here a while back saying that he had dropped his bike as soon as he went to leave the dealership after pickin it up , in front of a large hog group meetin for a bbq and ride day ?
Always better when there`s an audience i guess , almost done it once in traffic with the ol`left bootlace loop hookin up around the gear shift peg , lucky i through me weight the othe way and planted the right boot ?

As long as ya`s took a manditory bow afterward , like ya`s meant it ?

When we were kids , a mate said here take my near new YZ80s and jump that 8ft council dirt mound , never really jumping anything quite that big before , i jumped it alright , though got a tad carried away hittin it in 3rd gear powerband , the bike flipped and went a good 20 metres and i went about 10 landin flat on me arse in front of all me mates . Luckily no damage at all , tough little bike ended up in our family for years .
Almost dropped the roadie at Richmond Bridge in Tassie doing a slow U-turn the frontend slid out in the thick gravel fully loaded and 2 up , luckily planted the right leg , the foot stuck and just held it up , in front of about 50 people , strained near every muscle in me trying to hold her and the missus up , lucky she quick dismounted before getting back on when i stood it up , not a scratch , rode away like all was good .
