Anyone one used the basic auto tune on their power vision using the standard oxygen sensors, just like to know some more info on the matter and if it will tune my map on my Dyna.

Motor is a Tman stage 4 107 it is running ok with the map i have is ok but is a bit on the rich side plugs are always black especially when warming up or idling for a while.

Yep, tuned my 2010 Glide with the basic, very happy with the outcome.
Process is very similar to Vtune, the more time put in, the better the end result.

Just did a couple of autotune runs this afternoon using the map which I have been running, to my surprise the bike already feels better except it still has a slight hesitation  and a bit of a pop at around 1500 to 2000 rpm  when rolling on in a slightly higher gear.  It now starts easy when hot where as before it was a real bitch it needed a little bit of throttle before it would start.

All in all pretty impressed with the unit.

Have done 4 diffent runs to get my tune. Seems as though it runs lean and therefore hotter. Does not take long at idle to get the auto rear cyl to cut in.

Happy with the results never the less

Sounds like you are not doing things correctly, if anything the bike should run cooler aftder tuning.

Just thought I would pick your brains on some more auto tune stuff, now that I have done some auto tune runs and flashed the map do I need to bread/ smooth the VE tables or leave them alone.

If it is best to smooth them how is that done I have no idea.

Also I will have to do some more logs as I am still getting data saying it is changing VE min 6 to max 15 percent I I thing I have a way to go yet.

Any help would be much appreciated.

There is only one way to Autotune with the basic.

As it gets the mixtures as close to perfect 14.7:1 not sure what you are saying.

I can help with that one, save the attatchment in the email to your power vision files on you comp should be under program files and save it to the powervision folder.

Then open WinPV and open the tune from winpv you will find it in the place you sent the attachedment to.

Then you will notice it showd up all the tune info etc and you will see there is a buttuon up top of the screen with send tune. link your PV to the comp and then hit the send tune to PV it will ask you to save it to a slot and thats it then load to your bike.

    Hope you understand that.

Got a PV last week and I must admit it's a piece of piss. I'm an old carby rider, been fucking around with carbies for 40 years , but the PV was as easy as pie. Sent an email to check if they had a better map available for my ride and recieved an answer within 24 hours. Map was a big improvement, since then I have a new map again and have done 2 more runs after selecting basic auto tune. The bike is getting better every time I ride. Value for money... you bet! As good as TTS or some of the others, maybe not. But it's great value and easy for an old prick like me to set up and run.

when you guys do a auto tune and load the new map do you select yes to reset learned trims?

Yes. You need those values that the auto tune has learnt NOT the old ones that it is trying to replace

Anyone tried to adjust timing using auto tune basic, does it work or a waste of time.

The Auto tune can only REMOVE timming not increase it.

Ok I did some auto tune runs today bike seems to be running better each time you load a new modified map.

But I cannot hit all the cells with the area I ride in to many cars and cops, missing the high tp and revs.

One question I have is the pv has altered my engine displacement to 140 ci to compensate for some high VE,s.only a couple of cells reached the max figure, is this ok or do I need to adjust something else to compensate for the high VE,s.

I run the bike for the first time today on united 100 fuel as I have 11.2 to 1 compression and 220 ccp bike run smooth and crisp best it has ever been, I through a couple of degree,s timing in the map for the higher octane rating all seems good.

Good to hear boys all this info & tips/feedback good stuff.
Anyone interested I can hook you up with the latest version for ANY model HD, including 11-12 Softail and 12 Dyna.

Note the new version has a self tune feature.
collects data from the bike (actual run time, conditions etc) and the bike can be remapped at the push of a button.
So suggest u avoid any cheaper old versions (still selling on net and in USA etc)

Excellent tip on the eBay bracket, nice 1.
