Hope this is of some help to someone. The after market alarm on my 2000 Deuce packed up. Started going off randomly and pissing off the neighbours - and wife. Got a Gorilla 8700 alarm from flea bay in the states for around $100 to my door about a month ago and thought I would give it a bit of time before I reviewed it. I only got the basic alarm as I ain't tech interested. Just wanted something that would make a noise if needed. Alarm took about an hour to install as the main component is quite big and the Deuce doesn't have a lot of hiding places. Ended up putting it up and under the rear wheel splash guard. This is what took the time. The rest of the install is easy and as. Had some trouble programming it as I didn't read the istructions properly - i'm known for this. Even though I didn't get it from Gorilla, when I contacted them they were very helpful and had me up and running in no time. One month later and I am very pleased with it. Couple of things that need improvement though. Unit only comes with one fob - second fob costs about $30 to the door. Also, the buttons on the fob are proud of the casing and sometimes if it is in my pocket and I bend the wrong way it can activate the alarm or visa versa. Apart from that - if you are looking for a low tech, low cost noise maker you would be struggling to find a better one than this. That's me done.
