Decided to give the Iron a good stretch today, full noise and when I hit second felt the arse shudder, thought nothing of it but then it did it again, pulled over and fuck me, bent the rear pulley its rubbing on the swing arm, wtf? Ive had the bike conv to 1200, roughly 80hp and about 75ft torque, the rear should handle that shouldnt it?

you would thing the pulleys would be the same construction through out the range. just different teeth sizes
is nothing loose causing it to bend ???

I'm running a sporty 68 pulley on my 07 bagger with no problems 100/100 plus. I would be interested in seeing a photo of the bent pulley

if the back wheel is not straight  in the adjustment , or pulley mount's bolt's are loose

Has  the Rear wheel bearing failed and kicked the whole lot sideways enough to hit the swing arm? TC

Yeah, surely the wheels just moved out of alignment?

Thats what im thinking, either the axle bolt is loose and the wheel has "cocked" or the pulley bolts have loosened/broken....

Wheel cocked, fucked the pulley, dug into the swing arm.

I'm no mechanic, so sorry if I don't use the right words, The bolt that holds the tension on the back wheel, on the left side, snapped and cocked the wheel into the swingarm. And Terror the bikes done 33k.

are you able to take a photo of the left side? and how long ago did you have the back wheel/tyre changed? It might have been over tightened....
