    Cheers 98superglide, yeah it's a big improvement from stock thats for sure. My target was 95-100hp & mid 80's torque so I wasn't far off.

    T1 I've looked at the D&D which is shit hot, its just I like the new RSD Slant even more, hoping someone sends one to Aaron for testing to get a good comparison.

    speedzter yeah I reckon without the quiet insert & 7200rpm we would've seen 100+hp. A heavier spring kit I would've said take it to 7500. Didn't wanna get too wild with the motor though..

    for sure man, a better pipe would have seen it make more power earlier on and that increase carrys on through the rpm range. I dont know how you held back, i would have ripped that baffle out quick smart!!! You've got a good combo mate, time to just enjoy it i think!

    Would be interesting to see how the Slant goes, aaron dose give them a proper testing......

    If you get the chance do a log and take note of your engine temp out on the road and do another log on that dyno, it would be interesting to see how well that fan dose work....

    nice bike and results!

    cant wait to put mine on the dyno very similar setup to yours only 11-1 comp 600 cams and patriot pipe.

    just breaking in now, will update when I dyno it after breakin.

    Cheers & nice one hairy, what exact specs of your conversion? I'm assuming you had heads done too for the 600 cams?

    crush 1200 heads with big springs retainers etc and hammer pushrods 1250 30 degree reverse dome pistons.

    Sweet, yeah she'll definitely go harder than mine, the Patriot pipe will make a big difference too. I only got 550 lift spring pack for the 560 cams, most of my riding is 4-5k rpm gear changes at most, thats where my sweet spot is & the valve train doesn't get too hard a time.

    When I get some time I'm gonna rip out the quiet baffle insert for a day & go back up to the dyno for a couple of power runs (no tuning), see what the difference is for laughs.

    Looks like the big fin kit? Love the Patriot. More tempted every time I see one. You got valve fully open?

    yeah big fin versions for 04 and up.
    valve is open all the way its still quieter than my short shots at idle cops don't bother me unless im into it.
    im building another 1250 sporty this weekend with 560 cams, new oil pump gear, s.e heavy breather and twisted chopper pipes (don't like them) and stock heads.
    just wondering when your cams start to sing? mine still bops under 3k im hoping my mates are a lil better for street use.

    Bought my kit just before the big fin kits were released, scored from the first batches of 30deg pistons & 560 cams though.

    With my current pipe it's a bit boggy under 3k. Seems to come to life around 3200rpm & then screams. Most fun between 3.5-5k.

    What heads are on your mates 1250 build? 883 or 1200?

    Surprised the Patriot is quieter than your shortys, thats good.

    stock 1200 heads on mates bike.
    I think I put his limiter to 7k so he doesn't blow it up

    well its official.... my bike doesn't like screaming eagle plugs tried 2 sets and it backfires through the tb and clicks.
    cheap ngk's working fine.

    G'day Mate

     

    I am getting the good lads at thunder tech to put a hammer big bore kit in my 2012 48 sportster just wanted to see what you thought about the performance and how agressive they are and maybe what I can expect ?

    A valve dropped in mine destroying top end and (bottom end inspection maybe parts) needed

     

    any thoughts would be greatly appreciated looking forward to getting it back and deano sounded pretty excited about the hammer kits too !!!

    Hammer kits are awesome......Has got my vote for any performance parts and quaulity service.
