Hi,
I'm a newbie from the SE London, UK. I've recently picked up one of the last of the Nightsters, and I love it. I've had a lot of bikes over the years (and in fact currently own three - I'm in the fortunate position of buying bikes for business reasons), but this is my first Harley.
It's been too cold to ride much, but first impressions are really good - I didn't expect it to be quite so sorted as it is. The engine's terrific even in standard trim, and the quality of the bike's finish is outstanding. The general balance of components makes it really rideable. Most importantly, my seven year old son really likes it - I take him to rugby training on the back.
Suspension was utterly dreadful though - I think this is a 'known issue' on the Nightster. I tolerated the original setup for about 50 miles before fitting Hagons on the back and Progressives on the front. It's still not exactly a magic carpet ride but it's vastly better than stock.
Anyway, they've been salting the roads round here, so the bike will have to go into hibernation (if I take it out it'll dissolve before my eyes). I can't wait for Spring - in the meantime, here's a quick shot, taken at Greenwich Park.
Hope you're having a great summer down there!
