i have posted about putting a fatbob rear fender on the new glide, but after seeing one done I am not so keen. Does anyone know if one of the old wide glide (bobtail) fender will fit? If so what year and got any pics? Or has anyone ever tried modding a soft ail rear fender to fit one? How did that go?

Imo they should have left the Wide Glide with traditional Bobtail rear fender.

Hundred percent agree with you mate. That is why I am trying to swap it over.

I found a thread on a us site of someone who modified a softail rear guard on his wide glide. Might be to much in it for me.

Think I might end up with a fat bob one instead.

I haven't been on here lately, but I have fitted an original wideglide rear fender to my 2007 super glide

I had to strech the fender to suit the width of the new frames about 20mm

 

I didn't realise before I painted it.

 

it doesn't look that bad at all
