    Hello All,

Have had my 2012 Sportster SuperLow now for just over 12 months and racked up over 14,000km, including a run up to Canberra for my first National Rally. According to the owners manual, have always been running the front tyre (120/70ZR18) on 36psi and the rear (150/60ZR17) on 42psi. I recently had a look at the H-D 2012 parts and accessories book which gives the recommended pressures for these tyres on an XL883L as 30psi front and 36/40psi rear.  Seems to be quite a difference between 30 and 36psi but not as much for 40 and 42psi. Any thoughts on what pressure I should use?

    Thanks

try it & see how she feels  as long as a sportie is not less than 29lb's F&R the side wall's of the tyre will still be strong  but under 29 lb the corner strenght will not be there  , i use too  road race  sportie's but i would not go over 40 lb on the rear

Thanks for those comments, daddyracer56.  Will see how dropping the rear to 38psi  and the front to 32psi rides.
