All right we ride the Harleys with the smaller tanks. Let's get some stats out.

    What do you ride?

    What tank size?

How far does a full tank get you?

T1 is right, this has been done before. But just. For the hell of it:

    Iron 883

    12 litre tank

170km until the dumb arse light comes on. Usually takes 8 l to fill up.

Max range I have pushed it 210km, still only took 10 l to fill.

    2012 '48'

    12 litre

150 freeway k's till the light comes on. usually have about 4 litres left at that stage.

Im a bit jealous of all you Iron riders getting comfortably over 200k's on a tank, i guess the extra 300cc makes a diffference on fuel eco.

I've not yet had a chance to take mine out on the highway since getting it in October, so my mileage is based on almost 100% town riding at 50/60 or less. With that in mind, I reliably get 120km (at least) before the light comes on. Roughly 15.5km/L.

However, as of Saturday I will be a resident of Canberra, where they are far more civilized and have more (and much better!) high-speed roads. If I remember, I'll post back here again with updated economy details in a couple of weeks.

Started as a 883 with peanut tank. Then did 17 ltr tank, SE 1200 conversion with SE slip ons with P/Commander tuner. Aprox 320 - 330 klms per tank. Withoput tuner & Slip ons, (Standarsd pipes), only getting 300 klms per tank.
