Entertaining vid SDMF, now.....there's a hell of alot of good drummers out there today but....Buddy Rich the original master, Ginger Baker in his hey day could solo for 15/20 mins none stop, Keith Moon..it goes without saying, John Bonham legend, many have already been listed above, but one that comes to mind is Mitch Mitchell for just plain keeping up with the late great Jimi in the first place. To quote Jimi, "he was the only drummer that made me want to play harder" not bad coming from the master blaster himself. Gene Krupa has a mention above as well...keep 'em coming fellas, alzheimers got me at the moment....

    Gene Krupa.
I've played with Slim Jim when he toured his own band and I was in the support slots for the Stray Cats.

without a doubt for me it would have to be the master himself Jon Bonham aka Led Zepplin I have watched many a music video of the legendary band and he is just mind blowing , I like to bash out a beat myself from time to time ,just for my own fun & I wish I had a tenth of his talent & not to forget Dave Grohl especially when he was in the band them crooked voltures

And nobody mentioned Neil Peart of Rush, also a great author (his books are about riding his motorbikes around the world).

Chris Adler from Lamb of God. He signed my Mapex Black Panther Snare....seen them live a few times, I've been drumming for over 30 years and he's a rare drummer that makes my jaw drop
