Hi all. A few months back I bought my first Harley. An 08 night train. My logic at the time I picked this bike was " hey it's got over $10,000 spent On it" cheaper than importing a stocker and doing it myself.so two weeks later its in my garage. Fat spoke rims, bars, exhaust, headlight, lowered, pegs, grips, caps. Looks great nothing to do. Put your wallet away......then...... I start looking at aftermarket stuff.well about 2 months later I have added. Micro indicators, chrome sickle mirrors, tune, lapera seat, flush fuel caps, inverted 58mm front end raked with chrome caliper and then today I ordered a shotgun shock system !!!!! That's it no more. It looks great nothing to do walk away... Well maybe some custom paint down the track !! Stop me please

Shoulda just bought a new Roadking , more bike for ya bucks i reckon !
Absolute Perfection , with the usual few mods !

Seriously , seen fella`s spend wads , only to get bored and then spend more wads and so on , never entirely happy or they get bored with the look or feel , modifying becomes addictive , i can`t understand it myself , i mean , i dig my ride but unless ya well off , it`s just a waste of bucks i reckon ?
All hard earned money , most of which ya never get back mate , it`a all up to yourself really to spend as little or as much as ya like , some fella`s spot somethin in their travels , or are always lookin for somethin more and like tinkerin with their rides any chance they get , regardless , set her up how ya want her and enjoy it ?

Im still way in front. I was looking at stock night trains thinking about what exhaust,Bars, wheels i would put on it down the track. Then along came this bike with every single mod identical to what i wanted at a major cost saving. Right condition, low klms,H5. It was a no brainer. It just remember thinking. OK down the track ill add just a couple more things to finish it off. Well here i am 2 months later and the bike is 100% complete how i wanted it.So much for waiting. Thats a good thing as it would have cost me close to $20,000 on top of purchase if i picked a stocker. Its cost me less than a 1/5th of that on a comparable stock bike.Im sure ill find more mods but as far as major changes. I think ill save that for an older bike one day.

    Cheers

It never stops, I've had my fxst since just after Easter this year and have spent about $3K and that's just a 2nd hand exhaust, tuner, pegs, grips & levers, oh plus I've got a fibre glass front fender to paint/fit, flush mount gas cap, and fuel/ battery gauge to fit when the weather turns to shit next winter. I might tidy up the paint on the tins while I'm at it too. The list goes on......

The secret with having lots of "left over Parts".........is that you are closer to building another bike, and the missus has no idea!!
