18 Inch rear with a 19 inch front - and what you think of it??

Hi Mongrel,
I have a Deuce with stock 17 " -160 X17 tyre with V-rod front wheel 120 x70x19 front tyre (low profile)
A low profile 18" wheel would be similar overall diameter to the standard 17"- atyre chart will tell you that.
Handles realy well at all speeds,especially slow speed.
I'm raising the rear by 1" which will have an effect on handling ,changes rake & trail ,just like the 19" low profile to stock 21"did -about 1/2 to 1" in reduction in diameter-so i"ll post again when that's finished.

Now that I have been on the ride for a while with the new setup, I like it! It handles just fine. There is a slight wobble at about 60kph, but it rides through it. But I guess you get that when you lower the arse of a fatboy, and then bolt on a 4 degree rake kit and swap the wheels! LOL!!

I love though.

Giiday Mongrel ... i was wondering myself what all that spammer stuff was about ... could give a guy a complex , Lol ... Anyhow`s Wayco put me onto your thread as i am keen to change up my Softail front end to most likely a 21 x 3.5 but was interested to see what a 19 front with a 18 rear would look like ... have you got any pics of your beast with that wheel combo .

I`m looking at the Fat Spoke wheels out of VPW simurlar to the one that SDMF has on his Delux but like i said with a 18 x 5.5 rear ... again like Wayco said you have to watch your rake and trail but as i am not changing the rake on my tripple trees then it shouldnt be to bad ... Hopefully , Lol .
