Just a 1/2 day social ride for starters, and if it comes off OK, we'll get an overnighter.

Thats what Shell and I were planning for this one, either get on the Island a week early before its chocka's and see the place then do the rally or stay after the rally and have a week just riding around Tassie.

Want a good feed on your trip down down under, visit Richardsons Harley in Prospect... they have an excellent restaurant and licenced bar. The meals are huge.  These guys have it down pat.

Greetings Tassie Forum members!

My good lady wife is down there at the moment - casing the joint for a ride later in the year. My nephew has a crapshack at Dodges Ferry and we are thinking of doing the big ride down from Brisbane later in the year. I need some advice, like what time of year? We are planning on going somewhere around Sept.  How many days do we really need? Thinking about being in Tassie for about 18 days - is that enough for first visit? Where to go? One guy I know who has been down there says "anywhere and everywhere is good bike country"

 

Any assistance gratefully recieved

p.s. Any trustworthy volunteers to take the Mrs for a quick spin somewhere near Dodges Ferry - she is there with a couple of really boring people (one of them my sister) and a good day trip on the back of a Harley would really cheer her up!
