    Hi guys and girls,

Decided I should finally get around to joining this forum.

My name is Tim from Adelaide and I've just put down a deposit on a 2013 Iron. Of course, I have to wait till January to actually get it. Excitement is definitely killing me.

I know its been discussed before but the only thing weighing on me at the moment is the Street Bob vs Iron dilemma.

I rode both recently at the demo day and was fairly impressed with both models, I'm coming from a BMW F650 and the bob felt very heavy, particularly in the turns. Whilst the sportster felt a lot more comfortable. I spoke to a few guys there and they all recommended the dyna, and just said I'd get use to it.

I'm a pretty light guy, about 74kgs, 5'11. I do two up occasionally though never for long trips, though I'm hoping to change this. I mostly commute.

Money of course plays a factor as well, and I'm only 25.

Like I said, I'm pretty sold on the Iron but I'm open to suggestions.

Ha, not quite what I meant. There is a lady, our bike trips tend to be short ones that's all. Never felt comfortable on the BMW, too high and light.

Hey Tim, welcome to the club. No matter what model you get, it'll grow on ya. But I have to tell you all day at work i watch traffic going by and those irons do look very cool but on the hiway 2-up ur better on the bigger machine IMHO.

And its starting to piss me off how you have to wait for everything these days. When I decide its time to lay down a bundle I want the bloody thing NOW! Been waiting 4 weeks for a new car myself. Looks like it will end up being a bloody xmas present. Wonder if santa knows i aint been a good boy lately?

    Cheers folks.

Looks like I'll stick to the iron.

Yes the waiting is pretty terrible, but it least it means having a bigger deposit, which is always a plus. Apparently they are selling like crazy Australia wide...in black denim anyway.

    Now for mod planning
