    Hi All,

I found this forum by accident surfing around the net looking for a part so I thought I better join up and say "Hello"..

    The story...

It's alway been a passion of mine to own a Harley for the past 15 years and I promised myself that I would get one this year.

I went into the local Harley Dealer about 3 months back and sat on a Softail standard just to see if there were no problems with my seating position and it was all good and on the way out the door I spied the FXSTC 105th anniversary model, took an instant liking and went on my merry way. Little did I realise that I grew more and more passionate with this model and decided that this was the Bike I wanted.

Then I did my back in at work about 2 months ago and had to go to a Birthday party for a friend and stopped off at the Harley Dealers to get him a present, on the way out I enquired about where the showroom 105th was and was told that it was sold the day before, they had a Ex-demo 105th that was for sale at a reduced price "as is", now I was left with a decision, go for my dream bike or let it slip by...

Well, I ended up with my dream bike, the dealer dropped it off at my place seeing as my back was still bad and I managed to get 2 x 10 minutes rides in before rego ran out ( it only had 2 weeks of rego left) and no money at the moment to renew rego or do the transfer fees

BUT I HAVE MY DREAM BIKE!!!!!

So now I'm "Poor, Sore, but happy to the Core"

P.S. I joined the U.S. HD Forum before I found this one..

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Yeap, having a stuffed back isn't much joy but it has slightly improved over the past 2 months ( either that or I'm just learning to bear with the pain better) . I'm due to have a MRI in just over a week to see what the actual damage is and then go from there.

Riding the bike wasn't too bad considering it was 15 years since I sold my last bike (an XJ650T that I went for my leaners on) and with an injury as well, in actual fact it was much more comfortable on the bike than driving the car... Oh well, will just have to get cracking on getting this rego sorted out.

Anyway I popped some pictures of my baby in the "Softail" section under the "Softail Custom pics" thread if you care to have a gander, I'm going to keep her pretty stock for a while with the exception of a rear luggage rack as soon as rego is out of the way.

    Thanks all for well wishes.

    Cheers

    Hidiho

Just wanting to say thanks for the added welcomes since my last post, been trying to get through the older posts and having some laughs at the same time. I've even managed to pick up some helpful tips along the way so it can't be too mad in here.

    Cheers
