I'm pondering over the idea and seeing if it's worth getting better than stock ignition coil/ leads and plugs for the Fatbob. I have had a look at Crane Cams and Screaming Eagle, but I would like to hear from you good people here. Thanks in advance.

You won't gain anything by changing the stock coil, plugs or leads, other than cosmetic.

You can upgrade them without any issues, but it really needs to be as part of a 'package' of improvements. For example an upgraded ignition system will do bugger all by itself; it really needs a Cam/Carb/Pipe combination (or bits thereof) to really work and even then its going to be more noticable at higher RPM - although some folks recon that even at crusing they can notice the difference that a performace ignition system makes.

It did a full single fire system and a set of better breathing pipes at the same time and noticed a big improvment. Then again when I did the Cam and Carb it was an even more noticable improvement.

OMG...Are you telling me that stock bikes now come out with single fire ignitions?

If thats the case, then there is bugger all to be gained upgrading a stock twink Ign system.

I run 8mm Accell leads. I did read a compare article on leads and oddly enough Nology came out tops, but they are bloody pricey.
