Roddo , good on ya ... keep the free speech going ... from the sounds of your background a few unnessercary comments from people who must think all Harley riders know everything about fixing a bike wont worry you .

Like you and others have said there are a lot of people out there who would never heard of these problems and many others issues associated with the Twin Cams ... that of course dosent make them a bad bike but it is allways nice to have the info when deciding on a new ride ... as i have stated elsewhere on this forum it never ceases to amaze me at how much venom some people can shoot off at others for just trying to help or be friendly .

Is this not a forum for open idears ... yes it is well known to the self educated Harley owners out there to do constant service checks and keep your ears open for any unusal sounds but there are also a hell of a lot of people out there who feel that after laying down $20,000 to $30,000 for the bike of there dreams then one would expect a little more than 40,000 or 50,000 Klm`s before having to fork out some more hard earned cash .

And before all of you rightgous dudes out there get on your high horses and say shit like those types of people dont belong on a Harley well ... TUFF SHIT ... grow up and realise this isnt the 50`s or 60`s or even the 70`s anymore , no matter how much we would like it to be ... the government allready are trying everything in there power to ban Harley`s and all bikes out of existance and yes while there are a few or maybe even a lot of wanna bees who ride Bikes these days the fact remains it`s there right and i for one am glad they do because if the only people who were allowed to ride bikes were the ones who thought they knew everything about there bikes then you would of all been banned 20 years ago due to the fact that there would of been very few of you to even make any difference to any political party .

At least with all the interest in bikes these days we have at least a fighting chance be it a slim one to keep the asshole government at bay .

So as allready stated ... Good on ya Roddo , watch out for the unmarked blue boys over Glorious and Nebo and i hope this wont be your last post and as Bobby MacFarrin used to say ... " Dont Worry Be Happy " .

Hey Roddo , was courious , what type of cash involved in getting a gear driven change over done ... if one was neeeded and ozymax i know what you mean about the crank runout but if one was to go down that route any idears of cost involved ... might as well swap out the bad bearings and put some Timken`s back in .

Yes you are right Badcooky , buy an Evo and be done with it .
