Fitted a BDL open Primary to my 1970 Chopper with Twin Cam drive train, nice bit of kit and easy fit BUT,

had done just under 800ks, parked it and, bike rolled of its kickstand, first part to hit the concrete was the flange on my brand new clutch basket.

Broke of part of the basket flange, Yea I muttered a few words but what do I do now!

I stripped the primary and had a busted ass clutch basket, pictured lookin at me.

Did some research and it was gunna cost me $320 US plus freight for a new basket so decided to do a repair.

Machined off the old flange and had had some new flanges Laser cut from 3mm mild steel, drilled and tapped the old basket.

Screwed on the new flange with 12 off  M3 x 8MM Button head cap screws.

    And reassembled.

Went for a ride, all works well.

The laser cutter had a minimum charge so do have 12 left over flanges I'm not out to make money just recoup, if you want to do a similar repair I have flanges available for $8 each plus Post in Aust around $8.

I can supply drawings and dimensions if needed, will put a post in the for sale forum.
