Gday guys,

my speedo has packed it in. Ive been looking at the slim bar mounted dakota digital 5000 series. Has anyone got any thouhts on these things? They look great.

 

 I have been running a set of dakota digital on my streety now for about 41/2 yrs & they are great one of the best things I have put onto the bike.

 Good to hear, actually havent heard a bad word yet! Ive been emailing the company website. Very slack on response, usually a week or so between replies.

 I asked them a question a couple of months ago & they replied about a week later & apolagised as they were at a large bike show for a week & the emails were playing up where they were. But stil a gresat product

Thanks mate, the irony is I just wanted to get pistage qoute before paying! Took them over a week to get back to me...my oss would smash me for that.classic

 In my last job if I took more then 2 days for a quote I would jump on myself forget the boss doing it LOL

 

I'd be interested in seeing a Dakota bar mounted speedo set up on a Dyna. I'm assuming Rick yours are built into the dash? The dyna one's would need playing with the speedo cable etc?

Wondering if the ones for Dyna are just a plug and play type setup? Was thinking of going and early 2000 Lowrider tank instead...

Yes that is correct mine is in a dash.

 They look ok. The newer ones are plug and play, they are about 500 plus. The older ones need adapters etc, but are a bit cheaper. I also checked out motogadget. A german mob. They have some cool stuff. They can mount a speedo on your rocker....lots out there.
