well i rarely come to this section but asking a question for a mate. I have just put ricor valves in my fatbob and my mate wants to know if there is anything like this he can do to upgrade the front suspension on his 2010 road king. wallows at high speed in the corners a bit he says.

I got the progressive monotube kit in the front of mine , for the price by memory about $280 they work well , there were some criticision of them earlier on in US sites at first but i havn`t had a problem with them at all in over 2 yrs , all good i reckon , though labour is the killer if your getting them installed as i did , but the way i see it , it`s deffinately worth it , if installed correctly !
Only heard good things on the racetech , but have only used the progressives , and can highly recomended them !
Keep it at stock hieght though , as it seems fine , i think people do experience some dramas after lowering them ?
The progressive kit takes away a lot of the pogo`ing effect in the frontend over rough shit and reduces frontend dive under breaking some what , but the wallowing was much worse apparently in the pre 09 touring frame / swingarm set up though it still exists to some extent in the new touring frame , it`s nowhere near as noticable !
It`s deffinately not a severely noticable problem that i can tell , honestly the new tourers handle well enough straight outa the box , the arse end of mine is completly stock and if anything at all , upgraded rear shocks would be the first thing i would think to change , if anything !

I put racetech gold valve emulators and 1kg constant rate springs in the front of my 07 kingy--sweet ride, if you google "shock treatment"they are a great aussie based firm that will help you out----cheers Grim

     Hi Chriso,

I put the Progressive Springs and gold valve emulators in at the same time I put the chrome front end on and it great. I had done the same when I had my Ultra which did pogo. Am thinking about putting the Progressive 444 rear shocks on as well.

The monotubes do deffinately make an improvement over stock Quack , stops the pogo effect cornering over rough shit and resists frontend diving as much under brakes , keep at stock height though !
